Recovery Session
This 30 minute or 1 hour sessions start with a movement assessment to determine baseline movement function and discover impairments. After, the session focuses specifically on the recovery and restoration of movement, utilizing standard recovery modalities such as graston technique for soft tissue mobilization, cupping, contract/relax stretching and corrective exercise. If you are feeling sore, achy or feeling stiff, a recovery session can help get your body back to its optimal movement capacity, allowing you to perform better in the gym or on the field.
What are the benefits of a Recovery Session
Improved Blood Flow: Improved blood flow is achieved through the dilation of blood vessels, through soft tissue mobilization, massage variations and stretching, which ensures that muscles receive the necessary nutrients and oxygen, speeding up recovery post-exercise.
Enhance Flexibility: Reducing the amount of stiffness and tension in the body, allows the body to move effectively and with reduced compensation.
Reduce Pain: Reducing pain is another critical component, as recovery sessions help to alleviate delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and chronic pain, which are common in athletes and active individuals.
Increase in Movement Capacity: Regular recovery sessions help in improving movement capacity by maintaining flexibility and reducing stiffness, which in turn keeps joints healthy and functional.
