Owner, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
I was born in the small town of Westerly, RI, lived in Connecticut, and later moved to Boston prior to moving to California in 2008. Since the age of 7yrs old I've played multiple sports from football, baseball, basketball, track & field, and bodybuilding at a variety of levels ranging from college divisions I & III to Semi Professional. I've always appreciated the team environment, support, and family like atmosphere that sports provided me. After attending Central Connecticut State University, I later attended and graduated from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI where I received my bachelor of science degree in Biology/Chemistry with a concentration in Physical Therapy. I am currently certified and specialize in the following:
- NSCA-CSCS Strength & Conditioning Specialist
- NSCA-CPT Certified Personal Trainer
- NASM Personal Trainer
- FMS Level 1 & 2
- USAKL Kettlebell Certified
- Precision Nutrition Certified (Nutrition Coaching)
- USAW Olympic Weight Lifting Certified Sport Coach
- Pre and Post Natal Programs
- Specializing in Sport Programming & Conditioning, Nutrition, Weight loss, Olympic Lifts, improving the quality of life of my clients, Baby Boomers, Functional rehab, Injury Prevention, Kettlebell Training
Knowing that I enjoyed helping people to achieve a better quality of life through fitness and being aware of certain restriction that being a physical therapist would have, I decided to jump into the fitness industry and never looked back.
Having been involved in multiple aspects of the fitness industry since 2000 (over 15yrs of experience) from university strength and conditioning, to corporate fitness/personal training and management (TSI/BSC,WSC,NYC,PSC), to specialized populations (Alzheimer's, stroke & brain trauma victims, advanced cardiac rehab, Joint replacements, Pre/Post Natal Pregnancy, and more), to training middle school to Semi Professional and Professional Athletes, I became increasingly frustrated with the poor standards our industry had to offer. Quite simply I became sick and tired of clubs where sales numbers were more important than member results and experience, customer and employee appreciation, as well as the personal training standards had become ridiculously poor and good training programs and qualified instructors were non existent.
In 2008 I took a leap of faith and decided to move to California leaving all of my family and friends on the east coast to marry my best friend and the best thing that could have ever happened to me, my amazing wife Ashley. With her love and support, all of my dreams have come true. We got married in 2010, opened Golden State Fitness & Performance in 2012,and now live in Livermore, CA with three amazing blessings, Madison Gail (almost 5yrs), Brayden Henry (2yrs), and the new and final addition to our family Tyson Kenneth (TK) who was born this past August and is now about 5 months old.
I firmly believe that we have the best personal training facility in the Bay Area. (2015 Best of Oakland Fitness Program Award). Our TEAM and FAMILY at GSFP are attentive and knowledgeable (certified through NSCA-CSCS/NASM), we strive to offer the highest quality of service /support with the most cutting edge training methods, and customized fitness and nutrition programs that are guaranteed to get you the results you have always wanted. Our goal is to get you to your goals and help you"Make Yourself Stronger Than Your Excuses".

I know that you won’t find a more qualified, caring team anywhere. Our team and family here at Golden State Fitness & Performance are excited to soon meet you, and hope to have the opportunity to assist and guide you with your health, fitness, and performance needs.
We’re proud of what we do here and feel that if given a chance ,you’ll want to train and do business with us. We’ve been helping clients in this community for a number of years and are proud to be a family owned and operated business. (NO Corporate BS). With our way of doing business, providing the highest quality of service, fitness & nutrition programming, support, and care, you are guaranteed to finally get the results you are looking for.
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist
I graduated from the university of Colorado in 2006, and have been working in the fitness industry since 2009. I hold my NSCA-CSCS(certified strength and conditioning specialist) certification as well as my USAW. I specialize in fixing people that have restricting issues, such as shoulder impingment, low back pain, ankle issues, etc. I've trained every population, from 8 year olds to 90 year olds; I have a good understanding of how the body moves and needs to be treated. The thing I love about fitness is that the body can be molded to how YOU want it. Whatever fitness goals you have, they can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and the will to want to change. Give me a call to set up a consultation, and always remember, health is wealth.
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
I was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but I was raised in Littleton, Colorado. Many of my early childhood years were spent playing a multitude of sports. I would split time in the spring between baseball and soccer, run track in the summer, football in the fall, and the basketball in the winter. I would also snow ski in the winter and water ski in the spring. Needless to say I was your typical boy with too much energy for his own good. As I grew older I started to gravitate towards some sports more than others. I made a decision to stick with baseball rather than soccer, football was off and on for a couple of years, and then basketball ended when all the other boys started growing and I remained the same size. By the time High School hit I was mainly focused on baseball, I still played football but only for one year. After that I started playing baseball year round. I would man the outfield in the spring for the varsity high school team, play in the summer with friends, and then on a travel team in the fall.
I graduated from Columbine High School in the spring of 2011, and went off to a junior college to keep playing baseball. Throughout my first two years I managed to attend three different junior colleges, playing baseball at all three. I then went on to a four year school in the middle of Kansas. While there I received my bachelor’s degree in Physical Health and Wellness with an emphasis in Exercise Science. The summer before I received my degree I served an internship with what was formerly Athletes Performance, now EXOS, which is a world renowned sports performance facility located in Phoenix, Arizona. While there I got hands on coaching experience with NFL, NBA, MLS, MLB, NHL, NCAA, Olympic, youth, and general population. This not only was a great experience to learn, but also grew my passion for strength and conditioning.
Currently I am a graduate Assistant at Holy Names University, a small Division two college located in Oakland Hills. At the college I am in charge of the Strength and Conditioning for both Men’s & Women’s soccer. Also I am actively pursuing my master’s degree in education at Holy Names University
CERTIFIED Personal Trainer
Siriji has been training for 6 years. Before beginning the journey into fitness, she coached youth rock climbing and has been an avid climber and snowboarder since age 16.
As a rock climber, I learned early on that it takes time, a lot of time sometimes, to reach the heights to which I had my sights set on. Slowly building the strength, endurance and techniques that were necessary for the rocks that were most appealing to me. It took me a few years to achieve my initial goals which were to climb a 5.12 and boulder V6. The excitement that I felt when I climbed a 5.12 and did that first V6 was so intense, I remember feeling very shaky after both routes, not because the climbing was hard, but
because I just did what I had worked so long and hard for. After that, I knew that I could do anything if I put my mind and my effort into it. Even after having setbacks from minor injuries, I know that it is possible to reach any goal with just a little patience, persistence and consistent hard work.
My training style is movement based strength training. Workouts are varied and designed to meet your individual needs and goals.
When we train movements, not muscles, we build an intrinsic and unconscious knowledge of our body's strength, power and control. Maximizing efforts in our workouts to efficiently and effectively move through life, sports activities or any physical aspects of our days.
I believe in a holistic approach to health, fitness and wellness. Training our minds and our souls is equally important for a long, healthy, vibrant life as training our physical bodies.
Health, fitness and wellness is a journey that should not ever end. It is my intention to first teach, then guide and support you along your journey. It is also my intention to walk along side you to help you find the best possible you for the rest of your life.
Building a strong body is where Siriji will begin with you. From there, the limits are boundless.

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
I currently reside in Alameda, CA where I was born and raised. At a young age I wanted to try anything and everything that involved me being active and getting sweaty. It all started when I was 5 years old strapping up my Velcro soccer cleats. Since then I played competitive basketball, competed in track and field in high school and college, participated in cycling centuries, half and full marathons, and sprint triathlons. I found my calling in the profession of sports when I ran cross country and track and field in high school and was captain of the team for 3 consecutive years. The leadership role that I played in high school showed me the love I have to teach and passion to help everyone reach their personal best.
Upon going to UC Santa Cruz and graduating with a B.S. in General Biology in 2012, I knew I wanted to pursue a career of becoming a physical therapist. I been in the physical therapy realm since 2011. However, I know that the next generation of physical therapist will not only need to know the in-and-outs of recovery, but also to be able to seamlessly transition people back to their stronger and active-self. Knowing that strength and conditioning will play an integral role in my dreams to become a physical therapist, I gained experience as a Personal Trainer, a Sports Performance Coach at Velocity Sports Performance, obtained my CSCS, HKC and am FMSC 1&2. You can now find me running and cycling around town, sprinting and doing agility drills at a local park or the beach, lifting heavy objects and swinging kettlebells at the gym, snowboarding in Tahoe, playing pick-up basketball on the courts, and participating in anything active that I can get my hands and feet on. My love and passion for fitness and helping others has never died throughout my journey, as I am still as curious and eager to learn and sweat just like my former 5-year-old-self.
